Who can try out for the Mud Dogs?
Mud Dogs is a boys youth and high school travel program. Tryouts are open to players in grad years 2028 through 2036 from Oxford, Chester County, Cecil County and Delaware, and we welcome players from outside that area as well. You do not need to have played travel lacrosse before, but players should be comfortable with the fundamentals of the game.
When and where are tryouts?
Tryouts run June 23 to 25, 2026 at Oxford Area High School, 705 Waterway Rd, Oxford, PA 19363. Grad years 2034 to 2036 try out on June 23, grad years 2031 to 2033 on June 24, and grad years 2028 to 2030 on June 25. Rain dates are July 7 to 9. Full details are on the Tryouts & Clinics page.
How do I register?
Registration runs through our LeagueApps portal at muddogslax.leagueapps.com. Create an account, add your player, and select the program you are registering for. If you have trouble with the portal, email us at [email protected] and we will help you get signed up.
What does it cost to play?
Program fees are confirmed each season and listed with the registration in our LeagueApps portal, so you will see the exact cost before you commit. If you have questions about fees or payment plans, get in touch and we will walk you through it.
Do I have to be a Mud Dog to join Winter Training?
No. Winter Training is open to all players, whether you are a Mud Dog or not. It is built for players who want to keep developing through the offseason and arrive at spring ready to compete. Dates and registration will be posted on the Winter Training page.
How are teams and rosters decided?
Teams are built after tryouts by grad year, so players train and compete alongside athletes at their own stage of development. Coaches evaluate fundamentals, effort, attitude, teamwork, coachability and overall game understanding. Our goal is to place every player where they can keep improving and contribute to a team.
Where do I buy team gear?
Jerseys, shorts, hoodies and sideline gear are sized and shipped through our official team store. You can reach it from the Team Store link in the main menu, or from the Team Store section on our home page.
